What is yoga?
Yoga is a very old exercise system that has its roots in India and was developed there over many years. Also in the West Yoga is gaining in popularity. In particular, the physical yoga poses (āsanas) are known to promote physical strength, focus and flexibility.
Yoga means “union” and has a long tradition of contributing to harmonize mind and body. With the help of a regular āsana-practice, various breathing techniques (pranayama) and specific relaxation exercises, a state of harmony and contentment (samadhi) can be achieved.
Through the holistic approach of yoga, positive effects on a physical, mental and emotional level are quickly noticeable. Some people enjoy yoga as a beautiful form of exercise and relaxation. For others it may be an invitation to integrate elements of yoga into their daily lives.
Our yoga teachers will guide you through a variety of static and dynamic yoga positions and introduce you to some classic pranayama and relaxation techniques.
